The psychological meaning of STDs

by | May 30, 2022 | Infectious and pediatric diseases, Symptom Language

In this article, we will decode the psychological meaning of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) according to the understanding of Antonie Peppler, the founder of Creative Homeopathy, and her research on symptom language. From her understanding, “symptom language” is a form of somatic communication—the “soma” respectively the “material body” expresses an inner conflict that the person is not consciously aware of.

Thus, we composed a list of homeopathic remedies that respond to this internal disharmony. The critical psychological meaning of STDs is associated with one’s own sexuality and the traditional belief system adopted by society and parents. At the core is the unreflected conviction that sexuality is dirty.

STDs from a homeopathic perspective

The individual who requires STDs has a deep, sometimes unconscious belief that pleasure and joy in sexuality are undesirable or taboo—feelings of guilt resulting from “generational” upbringing.

“Sexuality is dirty!”

Sexually transmitted diseases

The patient has learned to only react in other areas of life. Every active “individual wanting” has been punished or at least has a negative valuation. The patient punishes his desire by illness. To suffer from “arousal” is accepted, while own arousal in the sense of activity is not allowed. The STD patient accepts the victim society.

Psychological Meaning of infectious diseases

Infectious diseases like sexually transmitted illnesses generally refer to fundamental issues and beliefs that a person wants and needs to deal with. These behavioral patterns brought along by the family can and should be overcome by living through them. This meaning also applies to childhood illnesses or pediatric diseases. They indicate that life themes could still be evaluated and thus still be pathogenic.
